About Aero-Flight Vanes
Aero-Flight arrow vanes are an aerodynamic vane made and sold by Fender Archery Supply and Equipment. We are a family owned and operated company located here in the United States.
Aero-Flight Vanes are sold in packages of 12 vanes. This makes it easier for you to make your own color combination without having to buy more than what you actually need in any given color. There is no mark-up for small orders of any one color.
Aero-Flights have been designed based on proven principles of aerodynamics.
This design generates high rates of arrow spin for good flight stability yet does so with lower air drag losses than what are seen with standard vanes or feather fletches mounted with an offset angle or helical twist.
The Aero-Flight profile, unlike other “aerodynamic” vanes, is an “asymmetric” airfoil design that generates rotation with low drag across a large range of possible arrow speeds, from the slowest of “Traditional” single string bows to the fastest of compound bows.
Aero-Flights are best applied using a clamp style fletching jig, such as made by Bitzenburger or JoJan There is no need to alter how Aero-Flights are mounted in order to generate arrow flight stability. There is no need to purchase a specialty fletching jig or to modify your current clamp style jig.
Aero-Flights work well with any of the common fletching adhesives. However fletch tape is not recommended.
By providing good arrow flight stability but with lower drag, accuracy is maintained. This is done while also maintaining down range trajectory and energy retention. The arrow trajectory is “flatter” and remains closer to a true parabola for a longer distance. This is especially helpful when shooting at unknown distances or when shooting a slower or low draw weight bow.
Aero-Flights are manufactured using Thermoplastic Polyurethane. (TPU) This material makes Aero-Flights very tough, durable, weather and damage resistant.
Aero-Flight Vanes are available in 9 different colors. Black, White, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple, and Pink.
