Workshop Upgrades
Since Annette and I decided to add quivers to our product line up we realized that we needed to do some things to upgrade our processes and work space. First off, we got a laser engraver. Note the super cool safety glasses! 😊 We got it so we could easily get labels onto our products. Nice and understated and no irritating labels hanging out everywhere. Nothing to interfere with or detract from the functionality of the product. Then we went ahead and got a much better, more professional, sewing table. It helped a LOT with making the quivers. So far...
New Products!
It has been a while since we’ve added to our blog, but you might say we’ve been kind of saving up and getting prepared. At long last we’re finally able to announce the addition of two more products to our store! We now have field quivers available. Double stitched and riveted to ensure long life, strength and durability. They come with 3 LARGE arrow tubes, and a storage pocket. The belt loop is made to fit a 2” wide belt. And of course, they come with the color accent bars to completement our arm guards, vanes, whatever and however you...
Being a Vendor!
So we did the vendor thing at the Maya Archers Stickbow Classic yesterday. It went great! First off HUGE thanks to Mike & Lisa Hall who surprised us by bringing us custom hoodies with our Logo on them. Although there was some misunderstanding at first they brought with them an idea and the set up to run a free drawing. Just sign up and and you're in. We're going to keep doing that. Met another vendor and they gave us some GREAT advice on different advertising channels. That will be VERY helpful. Annette and I worked great as a team....
Building Arm Guards!
Been wanting to do this for a while. This is a bit about us and building our arm guards. With some pictures, of course! First off we trace out the main body pieces and the piece that makes up the colored accent bars. Here's Annette doing that part. The pieces are then cut out of the leather. It took a while for us to get some decent scissors for cutting this leather. That part isn't bad. Next though is cutting out the slots so the color shows. Straight edge, razor, and a steady hand is needed here. Once we get...
Busy!
Unfortunately it's been a while since we've done anything here on our blog. But we've been crazy busy, building up some inventory ahead. In a few weeks we're going to go do the vendor thing. We have a spot reserved at the annual Stickbow Classic tournament held at Maya Archers in Roseville CA. We've been building arm guards so we have at least one in each color to have there We've competed at this shoot every year for about the last 15 years. Never came in as a vendor though. This will be a first. Annette and I won't be shooting,...
